Daughter, why do you think

You will miss my direction?

You have heard me before

So clearly,

And you knew.

Why do you think

You won’t hear me again?

Daughter, you do not have to be

Good enough

To hear.

You do not have to

Measure up

To be near.

You cannot earn

My favor, even when

You believe.

I give to you because

I love you.

Oh, daughter, nothing you have

Is from you.

Nothing you have

Is from your hands.

What you have

Is given.

Material and immaterial.

Tangle and intangible.

Visible and invisible.

Seen and unseen.

Felt and unfelt.

Heard and unheard.

It all comes

From me.

I knew,

I know

you, and

Those I have for you.

How it will start,

How it will end,

How you will

Know.

Daughter, don’t be afraid that

I won’t be with you.

Whatever road you take,

I will be there.

Close.

But if you walk

With me,

You will go farther.

You will feel me,

Hear me,

See me,

Everywhere.

When you go

Your way,

I’m still there, but

You won’t hear, see,

Feel.

With me,

You can listen, perceive,

Sense.

Where I take you is not

Distracting.

With me, you can focus.

With me, you can lead.

Don’t be lured by what feels easy.

Remember it’s not.

Without me,

It’s harder.

Without me, it makes

No sense,

No progress.

Daughter, come with me.

I will take you where

I want you to be, and it is

Where I AM.

Your gifts,

Your plans,

Your desires,

Your dreams.

Daughter, let go of them.

Trust me with them.

I will make them

Bigger,

Better,

Fruitful,

Beautiful,

More than you have dreamt.

But I can only do it

If you let go.

I won’t pry your fingers.

You must let

Go.
