Jeremiah 17:7-8

Taken

Daughter, what I have for you, no one will take.

They cannot. My plans cannot, will not change. Do you not see that you are a part of them?

They cannot happen without you. Daughter, you are necessary. You are needed by others. Go to them, help them. I chose you to do it. Would I put you here if I had not chosen you?

Would I give you what is needed if it wasn’t needed?

Daughter, I need nothing. But I love you. I want this, all this, all these, all the growth and support and challenges and joy and people. For you. I love you.

Why would I change? I cannot. I do not. Daughter, my love, my plans do not change. You cannot change them, nor anyone. Do not live like this is a possibility.

I am sending all to you, for you. This day, this week, this time will be wonderful, my daughter. You will be closer than you ever thought.

Nothing is over. Time is no issue, my love. I hold it. I hold you.

And I’m not letting go.

See John 20:11-18.

Return

Daughter, I am always near.

You can come to me on and off the page. I have not gone, my daughter. Yes, you are still mine.

Daughter, you are changing, growing. Do not be ashamed of the woman you are, whom I have created. Have I not made you artist, mother, wife, worker? Have I not chosen you for this time — with these, here, now? Did I not make you with my hands? With my own?

My daughter, you are my own. You have come far, though you have not arrived. Not fully. You will keep arriving. One place, then another. One thought, then another. One idea, one exclamation, one burst of creativity and love and dancing in your mind and soul and body, then another. Daughter, each day, you arrive. Closer. Do not fight the close of one day. It ushers in another.

My daughter, you are so weary, I know. Rest. Sleep, close your eyes, let time move. Let me move it, move you. Let me move you from dream to dream to daylight to morning to afternoon to the close. The close of the day, the dance, the light that burns, glows, lives somewhere else, just then. It lives so it will be where you are, when you awake, when I stir you, show you what you can only see in the light. Oh, my daughter, there is so much to show you. It is not all the same, as you think. It is new each day, with Me. It is what you have sought. Only look in the light, my dear one. Look out, in, around, behind. Is it not everywhere? Is light not all around?

Walk and feel and love and know, know, my love that it is, that I AM, near, here, inside, outside. Everywhere.

My love, you think you have missed me, disappointed my expectations, my plans, my light. Oh, daughter, you forget I AM. You forget I do not disappoint. I do not become disappointed or make disappointment. I create appointment, appointed. I created you, my daughter. Do not forget. I create not to disappoint, not to underwhelm.

I create for you.

Wonderful

Daughter, you can rest today. You can enjoy and love and do what I have for you, which is rest. Rest, my daughter. Rest and dream of the wonderful week ahead. Yes, the wonderful week. You did not mishear. You did not misunderstand. It will be a wonderful week, only you will need rest to do it. Yes, daughter. I will be with you, and it will be wonderful. Do not doubt what my presence can do. Do not dread any scenario your mind invents, where I am not present. It is a lie. Because I AM.

Unseen

Daughter, close your eyes. Close your eyes and let me guide. You do not need the false light to see. You cannot see with it. No, you will be blind by trying to see. Through me, your eyes will be opened. Through me, you will see, but only if you first close your eyes. Close your eyes to stop watching, stop trying to see yourself in the scenarios that are not for you, that you make up in your mind, where you insert yourself into someone else’s life. Daughter, keep your eyes closed. Am I not guiding you now? To breathe, to think, to let go? Yes, daughter, I am guiding you, even now, when you can’t see. When you sleep, when you laugh and believe all is well, without seeing what could lie ahead. Could, daughter. Do not be afraid of what could. Do not live under what could. Live under what is, who is, how it is. Daughter, I AM what is, what will be. I AM here, with you, loving you every minute, every day, every time you don’t want to close your eyes. When you close, it is clearer. It is refined, my spirit in you, when you focus on what is unseen. Unseen, my daughter, is not undone. Unseen is where I AM. Seen is where I AM. Doing, thinking, acting, seeking, asking, knocking, is where I AM. Can you do it with eyes closed? Can you see without seeing? Yes. Yes, my love. See, without your sight. See, without the sight you have been given, told. See with what you have, my love. My spirit in you, joining you to all I have given you, all I have on the road along the way, along the flowers and the creeks and the tall, strong trees and the melodies sung by whispering grass, by birds, by leaves shaking, waiting, for a changing season. Do not weary in the waiting. Close your eyes. And rest.

Today

Daughter, I know you want what is new. You want it so that it’s hard to enjoy today. Daughter, let go of wanting to pass today. Can you pass a day to get to another one? Can you jump forward to your fate? Can you jump backwards to change it? No, daughter, the only way is forward. Forward, my love, forward with me, forward into dark, light, redemption. Grace. Yes, daughter, it is another day, another day I know you wish you could miss. But daughter, all the days, all I have for you is good. Do you doubt it, my love? Do you doubt your Father has everything you need, each day? Do you doubt that this day is importunate? Important? Unimportant? No, daughter, none of it is important compared to who I AM. I alone make it important. My love, you must not dread today or tomorrow with its clamorous grind, its tasks, its quiet descent into loneliness, helplessness, doubt. Daughter, the day does not have to be the way you have imagined it. Your mind does not tell the end, the whole story. It does not have to lead to meaningless. It can lead to me. Every day. Every single day. Just open your eyes when you wake up. Do not stay asleep in the morning, in the night. Open your eyes to see what is ahead. Do not be beckoned to what is behind, what is in front of you begging to ruin, to trample, to slowly drag you into work, work, work, that leads to nothing. Daughter, close your eyes and find me, on those days. On this day. Close your eyes and see that where I AM is where you are. Where you are is where I AM. Daughter, do you see? Do you see that it is holy? Holy, in its difficulty, holy in its strife, in the struggle, in the pain, in the hope it brings. Yes, hope. Hope alone, my child. Hope is what will bring you home, home to light, to the place where all is seen, heard, believed, felt, touched, understood, appreciated. Daughter, it isn’t far away. It is here. I AM here. You are here, with me. So let’s go. Let’s go together into all the chaos and the dark and the light that’s shining in the only place that you need to be. Come through the forest with its darkened path, with its briars and trees, ominous and huge from growth, growth from water and sun and storms and rain and snow and light. Light. Daughter, come and see. Come and see that beauty is here. Today.

Rise

Daughter, you are not falling so

You cannot rise.

Rise, my love.

Rise and meet what has

Pushed you down.

You rise because I

Rose.

Never to fall, never to be

Pushed.

Daughter, you are learning,

Growing, preparing to

See how I

Make you rise

As the sun,

As the moon,

As the stars, when the sky

Blackens,

You will also

Be.

Beside me,

With me,

Share, write, know

What you have seen

In the fall,

In the dark,

In the mire,

In the meaningless,

In the tears.

But shout, dance, rise

In the dawn.

See John 13:36-38; John 18:15-18; John 18:25-27; John 21:1-19

Close

Daughter, if you could see

What I see,

You would know

The only way is

Through.

Believe in me,

That I see.

When you believe that I see

Then you will see,

But only after you’ve gone

Through.

Daughter, did I shy from difficult?

Did I stop when I felt

Pain?

My daughter, I felt more

Than pain,

Worry,

Suffering,

More than every insult, every bite of

Resistance.

Daughter, I felt so you could

See.

Do you see?

Close your eyes, and

Believe when you can’t

See.

What you feel does not change it.

What you experience does not push me

Away.

Whatever you believe makes me want

To draw near.

My daughter, my love,

I AM here,

And I see all that is for

You.

Do you not see?

Then close your eyes.

Close to all that

Distracts,

All that lies,

Shows what might.

Only I AM what is.

Believe what you saw

The day you chose,

The day I came for you,

Pain forgotten,

Cost forgotten,

Remembering you.

My daughter, believe.

Believe what I did so that we

Would never feel or be

Apart.

Close your eyes.

Close your eyes and see.

I’m larger, grander, more prominent

Than the darkness.

Do you see?

Do you know?

Do you believe?

My daughter, close your eyes.

Close your eyes so I may

Lead.

Close your eyes so I can show you

Everything.

Close your eyes so you will remember.

Close your eyes so you will see

What is, what will always

Be.

Outside of me, there is

Nothing to see,

nothing to do, nothing to

Be.

With me is everything.

Only close your eyes.

When you open, you will

See that

I will still

Be.

When you open, nothing will have changed

What you felt

With eyes closed,

When all was quiet,

When you felt the world go, felt everything disappear

Into darkness.

That was me, banishing

All that separates us.

Open your eyes, my love.

Open your eyes and

See

Feel

Know

Be.

See Matthew 13:1-23; James 1:2-18

Known

I know you, daughter.

I know fear, strife,

Sorrow.

I know what is from me

And what is not.

To teach is to show,

To love is to reveal,

Not to inflict,

Oppress.

Bravery can feel

Impossible when

You forget that I

Know you.

Come to the One who knows

Every pain,

Every hope,

Every turn,

Everything that steals.

Rest with the One who knows,

Who loves,

Who reveals, at the right

Time.

Come with me to lead,

To know,

To see,

To follow,

To trust that there is

So much more.

So much more awaits, my daughter.

More than you can see,

But I can see.

I AM in it now,

And I see it is good.

Come with the One who sees.

Come with the One who

Knows all,

Knows you,

Knows when your heart failed,

When it burst and you didn’t know

You could pick up the pieces,

When it refused to go,

Refused to feel,

Refused to hope any longer.

Remember the One who knows

You.

Who knows how to revive the heart

That fails,

That hasn’t seen for so long

What it’s been waiting for,

The life and light that it knows

Is there but cannot

See.

Daughter, come to the One who loves it

Even as it refuses, consigned to dark,

To fear,

To suffering in the way

Only a heart can.

I know because I made it

When I made you.

Daughter, I know you.

I know you and

Because I know you,

I love you.

The One who loves

Is the One who saves, who redeems

The heart.

Only I, daughter.

Only I

Know.

There is more, my love,

More than you know.

More than you can see.

More than anyone sees.

Do you believe it?

My daughter, do you believe that it is

Known?

Do you believe that what is known is not

Always seen?

It is known.

You are known.

You are known, seen.

Loved.

Loved as no other.

Loved as a daughter who can

Hope, who can know

That more is coming,

That more is who her father is.

More is what her heart already has,

Already knows.

You will see, daughter.

You will see and know and feel and love,

if you let me show you, make it

Known.

Burn

Daughter, you can’t listen unless

You let go.

Your mind is crowded,

And it’s hard to hear.

I speak loud, clear

When you truly

Listen.

It won’t always feel comfortable

Or safe

To clear, uncrowd.

But truly,

It is.

I AM here,

Above,

Beneath,

Behind,

Beside

Crowded

Noise, clutter.

I never left it,

Waited for you

To hear me.

Do you hear?

Do you hear, my daughter?

Do you hear

Hope?

Hope is loud, quiet,

Strong, soft,

Shouting, whispering,

Boisterous, unintrusive,

Demanding, relenting.

Uncrowd,

Free,

Let go,

Let me.

I will never fail.

I will never leave.

I will never be far.

I will be near when you feel lost,

Hopeless,

Because it is not lost, hope

Is never lost.

It is found.

It is championed,

Lit onto

A footpath, a spark

To fire.

The fire inside

My daughter

Burns

Even when she doesn’t hope.

Just think how bright

When she lets it burn.

Let go, my daughter.

Let go.

Let go and let it

Burn.

What will

Daughter, let go of

What will,

What should.

It can be up to you

If you really want.

But daughter,

Leave it

To me.

Not knowing is

Not easy.

It causes

Questions,

Fear.

But daughter,

Don’t fear what your Advocate

Has for you.

Don’t fear the new, or

Doing it again.

Don’t believe the lie

That you can’t,

That you’re done.

I have more.

There will be aches,

Pains.

It will not always be clear –

Why,

Where,

How, but you,

My daughter, can be

Clear,

Cleansed,

Purged,

Rid of

Fear.
