Jeremiah 17:7-8

Category: Feeling vs. believing Page 1 of 2

Known

I know you, daughter.

I know fear, strife,

Sorrow.

I know what is from me

And what is not.

To teach is to show,

To love is to reveal,

Not to inflict,

Oppress.

Bravery can feel

Impossible when

You forget that I

Know you.

Come to the One who knows

Every pain,

Every hope,

Every turn,

Everything that steals.

Rest with the One who knows,

Who loves,

Who reveals, at the right

Time.

Come with me to lead,

To know,

To see,

To follow,

To trust that there is

So much more.

So much more awaits, my daughter.

More than you can see,

But I can see.

I AM in it now,

And I see it is good.

Come with the One who sees.

Come with the One who

Knows all,

Knows you,

Knows when your heart failed,

When it burst and you didn’t know

You could pick up the pieces,

When it refused to go,

Refused to feel,

Refused to hope any longer.

Remember the One who knows

You.

Who knows how to revive the heart

That fails,

That hasn’t seen for so long

What it’s been waiting for,

The life and light that it knows

Is there but cannot

See.

Daughter, come to the One who loves it

Even as it refuses, consigned to dark,

To fear,

To suffering in the way

Only a heart can.

I know because I made it

When I made you.

Daughter, I know you.

I know you and

Because I know you,

I love you.

The One who loves

Is the One who saves, who redeems

The heart.

Only I, daughter.

Only I

Know.

There is more, my love,

More than you know.

More than you can see.

More than anyone sees.

Do you believe it?

My daughter, do you believe that it is

Known?

Do you believe that what is known is not

Always seen?

It is known.

You are known.

You are known, seen.

Loved.

Loved as no other.

Loved as a daughter who can

Hope, who can know

That more is coming,

That more is who her father is.

More is what her heart already has,

Already knows.

You will see, daughter.

You will see and know and feel and love,

if you let me show you, make it

Known.

Heaviness

Daughter, do not despair about today.

You feel heaviness, hopelessness,

But daughter, this is false.

It is not the truth

About who you are.

As my daughter,

You can stand up

And walk.

You can move

Without bonds, chains.

You can stand.

You can go forward.

There is no need to cower,

No need to sulk.

Let me take those burdens.

Let me take the weight.

You are free.

There is nothing to hold you down.

There is nothing to thwart my will,

My plan.

I AM fighting for you.

I love you too much to let you be taken,

To be weighed, measured by

Meaninglessness.

Trade

Daughter, only I can bring you what you want,

In ways you do not understand,

Sometimes do not expect.

Sometimes there is pain before the gift.

Sometimes there is waiting.

Sometimes there is heartache and tears and joy that seems

Distant.

But it isn’t.

Joy is near because

Joy is always with me, like

Hope is always with me.

Hope is a gift, and

It’s free.

Hope costs you nothing of value.

Yes, it can be uncomfortable.

It can be hard.

But what you trade for hope is

finite, temporary, ultimately

Useless.

Hope is never this way.

It will keep you standing, walking, running,

Dancing.

Align

Daughter, I will give you what you want

When your heart aligns to me.

It is only through me that you can have

What you truly desire.

In your heart,

You don’t desire this world and its empty promises.

You don’t desire the hollowness of its fruit.

You desire what is good

And worthy and meaningful, and in that,

I am there.

Truly, you desire what is good because

I made you and your heart.

The world will try to convince you of what you want

And will tell you it’s free.

But there is always a cost, and

It is heavy.

It is a burden I don’t want for any of my children.

But daughter, in me, there aren’t heavy burdens

Or empty promises

Or useless things.

In me, you find what you are looking for,

What you desire.

I know, and still

Daughter,

Everything you do, everything you say, everything you think –

I know it, and still,

I love you.

I want you close, to come with me.

It’s no trick.

It’s not too good to be true.

It’s not burdensome.

You don’t have to work extra hard to know me,

To be with me.

You only need to believe in me, in my sovereignty.

You only need to remember how I’ve worked

For you.

Take a breath.

Look for me, and

You will find me.

Forgive yourself,

Think of the good,

Pray, and

Rest, my daughter.

Do you see?

Daughter, I love you.

You need not worry.

There is so much you think you’re missing,

So many good things that don’t come because

You don’t deserve it.

It’s true that you deserve none of it, but daughter,

I give it to you.

I give it all to you because I love you.

There is no condemnation.

There is no withholding.

There is no stern distance with me.

There is only love and peace when you come.

There is only grace and great joy.

There is only love, boundless love.

Oh, daughter, if you could only see

Each day

How I see you.

Only I

Daughter, don’t worry over the little things.

Don’t worry over the big things.

Don’t worry.

Daughter, release your burdens.

Release your worries to me,

And to me alone.

The world will offer solutions.

Only I give you rest.

Only I take your burdens.

Only I heal.

Only I slow your mind.

Only I show you what really matters.

Only I AM.

Plant your garden

Daughter, I’m right here.

I’m right beside you, never to leave.

Your accomplishments will come and go.

Your assignments will change.

But build your home.

Plant your garden.

Don’t waste away on longing.

What you long for is given to you freely.

What you long for has been yours since the day you believed.

Freedom.

Love.

Peace.

Joy.

Rescue.

They’re all yours, right here, right now.

Believe it and you’ll see it.

You might even feel it.

To feel won’t always bring joy,

But to know will.

To know me, to believe me, will.

Believe me.

Come and believe me.

Daughter, I love you. You can believe that.

Find joy

Daughter, have joy where you are.

You only see the misery, the mediocrity.

Find the joy.

I have it there for you.

Right there,

In the middle of pain,

In the middle of disappointment,

In the middle of waiting.

Waiting doesn’t mean you have to wait for joy.

Joy comes with every morning I give you.

Daughter, it’s right there.

You don’t have to look far to find it.

Find me, and you’ll find joy.

Take one step

Listen to this week’s word

Daughter, what is coming is great.

Keep moving forward and don’t worry about it.

Come to me every day.

Come to me when you need direction,

Even if it’s just to take one step.

Oh, daughter, I want to be with you in every step.

Wasn’t it so with your own sons?

You never wanted to miss their steps.

You never wanted to leave when they did something new.

You are my beloved.

I don’t want to leave you.

And I won’t.
